About Project

The Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) project is being implemented by the International Space Station, gathering six space agencies from the USA, Canada, Brazil, Russia, the European Union and Japan in one mission – to educate and popularize radio amateurism and astronomy among young people.
The program provides direct radio contact between students and the crew of the International Space Station (ISS) during one of its flights over the Western Balkans.

This year, the US space agency NASA included the name of the Primary School “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj”, Sremska Mitrovica, on the list of approved applications to participate in the ARISS project. According to the announcement, the main event is expected to be organized in January 2020.

Until then, we are going to explore the Universe on our way “To the Moon and Back”.
