WE’VE DONE IT!
And can proudly say we’ve done it with flying colours!
It all started at 16:30 ( maybe a minute or two earlier because of the stage fright ☺ ). One part of our audience was in the first – floor hall with the media. The rest of the audience was in the big hall on the ground floor following our live stream on school’s YT channel.
We presented our school, HAM club, ARISS, ISS and Luca Parmitano in Serbian and English.
Then a rocket , an alien and an astronaut rang the bell! “Let’s fly to the moon”, said Strahinja, the astronaut, and the HAM friends started calling Luca.
All of us heard the statics after the signal call from Miloslav, the HAM operator. We heard it once.. twice…for the third time… The fourth one was answered! A sight of relief all over the room! No more worried faces, all smiles!!!
It all went as smooth as silk! All 20 questions answered!! What a ride!!
For all of you who kept the fingers crossed and believed in us, thanks a million!
For those who doubted…
Well, we have been practicing for months with a huge support of the Radio Club “Novi Sad” crew. There was no room for mistake! Dedicated, diligent and proud of what we were doing, kids and adults alike, we simply couldn’t have failed, could we?
Just one more thing… If you want to see for yourselves what it all looked like, go to https://www.youtube.com/user/zmajevcism ( one video with qns, the other one with the show, and the third one with a part of our rehearsal and the contact – the longest one! ) The longest one was followed by more than 1,700 viewers at the time ( 24 h later it is more than 2,400!)!
Done it, made it & loved it!
Keep following the blog because our space adventure is not over just yet!
We are going to learn how to monitor the sky through the telescopes, train like the astronauts and have a few more interesting things to show you!
Be with us on 2nd & 3rd April in Belgrade! We are presenting the project on the first Space conference in Serbia !
