From Russia, with love
They say when you have friends, you have everything. Our dear pen pals from a Russian primary school in Rostov-on-Don sent us a bit of a different perspective, an added value to our project. Guess what! They are excellent at modeling rockets!
Nickolay Krutykh is telling about his accomplishments in the Rocket Modeling. Just check how detailed and dedicated he truly is!
Here is his report:
Annual regional competitions in Rocket modeling among school students were held in the Rostov-on-Don region in October 2019. I took part in this event because I am keen on modeling and rocket building as well as launching the rockets.
4 main steps before launching the rocket:
1. Check the rocket
2. Set up the launching device
3. Get it registered
4. Charge it up
5. Launch the rocket.
The competition consists of two main parts of launching the rocket:
1. Launching with the parachute system
2. Launching with the brake tapes
Our team had two members and the coach.
We won the 1 st place in launching the model of this class. My personal result was the bronze medal, the 3d place.
This competition is the start of learning science such as aerodynamic, thermodynamics,
and other things like space exploration, spaceship building, ballistics of flight, technology of manufacturing.
It is really excited and overwhelming. It gives a chance to develop skills and have a goal in life. Join us and you will have a lot of fun!
